There is a wide variety of responsibilities that goes into owning a business. One of which is knowing your facility inside and out. There are times that you will not be onsite to assist should something go wrong, so it is crucial to have all the important information about your facility organized. It is not uncommon to speak with a business owner who does not know the location of the main water shutoff, gas shutoff, electric shutoff, etc. Knowing this information can help mitigate a loss immensely. If a pipe break causes your business to flood, mere seconds are costly. Make it a priority that managers, maintenance personnel, and other employees know where the utility shutoffs are and who they need to call should something happen.
