Cleaning Your Fireplace

6/3/2020 (Permalink)

Now that winter is over, many individuals are starting to clean their fireplace. When doing this, there are multiple things that you should take into account. First, you should make sure that the fireplace is cool. If you have had a fire recently, it is best to wait at least a day before cleaning the ash and soot out. This can prevent you from getting burnt or starting an accidental fire. Before you begin cleaning, be sure to lay down a towel at the base of the fireplace. This will prevent ash and soot from getting on your carpet. When you empty the ash into a waste bin, do so gently to prevent it from flying around. Once everything is clean and disposed of, consider vacuuming the carpet and upholstery. This will remove any sneaky ash that found its way out.
