Moldy Basement

This homeowner in Muskegon, MI had been dealing with a water heater leak for some time. The moisture produced by the leak along with contents that had gotten wet and never properly dried began resulting in mold growth. The mold spread quickly to a variety of other contents along with the floor, walls, and ceiling. It quickly got out of control with about 75% of the basement affected with water/mold. As always, it is our main goal to restore rather than replace. Some of the contents were not salvageable and had to be tossed. The contents that were cleanable were placed in a pod. Our technicians removed the carpet and ceiling tiles, shampooed, used germicide, spot sanded, and set up a negative air machine. The mold was successfully removed ensuring the safety of our customer.
